Crayfish are eaten all over the world. Like other edible crustaceans, only a small portion of the body of a crayfish is edible. In most prepared dishes, such as soups, bisques and étouffées, only the tail portion is crawfish boils or other meals where the entire body of the crayfish is presented, other portions, such as the claw meat, may be eaten. Crayfish and Big Fish. Sometimes people think that the size of the fish can guarantee its safety. Personally, I do not completely agree with them, unless it is big enough (or aggressive, like Pufferfish) to eat it. Crayfish can react (attack) defensively even when there is a bigger opponent in front of them.

Terminology. The name "crayfish" comes from the Old French word escrevisse (Modern French écrevisse). The word has been modified to "crayfish" by association with "fish" (folk etymology). The largely American variant "crawfish" is similarly derived.. Some kinds of crayfish are known locally as lobsters, crawdads, mudbugs, and the Eastern United States, "crayfish" is more common .   Fiddler crabs are found in conditions from freshwater to fully marine. Often, most fiddler crabs sold in stores will survive in neither freshwater, nor marine conditions in the long term. Unless you know your specific species, and it’s natural conditions, a specific gravity of to is best. is a good starting point, as species.

Decapods, including crabs, shrimps, lobsters, and crayfishes, are among the most familiar of all crustaceans. They come in a wide variety of sizes, ranging from tiny pea crabs to the giant Japanese spider crab Macrocheira kaempferi with spidery legs spanning up to 12 feet ( meters) across. "The Crabfish" is a ribald humorous folk song of the English oral tradition. It dates back to the seventeenth century, appearing in Bishop Percy's Folio Manuscript as a song named "The Sea Crabb" based on an earlier tale. The moral of the story is that one should look in the chamber pot before using it.. Owing to the indelicate nature of its theme this ballad was intentionally excluded from.

Crayfish Most people who are unfamiliar with these tiny beasts confuse them for smaller lobsters, and while it is an understandable point of confusion, they are actually entirely separate creatures.
